046 - Scottish Highland Cattle

Once upon a time in my early photography shooting days I was quite nervous about stepping out with my camera and intruding on private property. There was a farm in Wisconsin that had this herd of Scottish Highland cattle and I thought they were just adorable. However, we had to return to this farm quite a few times to actually get a good photo. I think the first time I wouldn't even get out of the car. I used a zoom lens from the passenger seat and the pictures sucked. I think it was probably the 3rd time approaching this farm that I actually got out of the car and walked all the way up to the fence.

This amuses me today since Elliott and I frequently "invite ourselves in" to numerous locations without blinking an eye. The only time I get a bit nervous is if we had been someplace already and there are signs that someone knew it when we go back. (ie: padlocks when there were none before.)

I'm glad I have for the most part gotten over this shyness...after all, what's the worst that can happen?

045 - Sea Shells

Since we will be moving from Florida in a few short weeks I thought that I should try to cram as much Florida type stuff into my posts as possible. Today's theme are shells and other ocean-y type creatures.

043 - Red Rock Canyon

We just found out today that we have a house to move into! I am so relieved! Here is a wonderful photo of where we were originally moving to, but are no longer moving to... Are you keeping up? lol

This is in Nevada, just outside of Vegas. Absolutely stunning.

Lol - So I guess this means you would want to be violator #6203 or later?! Should I take a number?

041 - Mel's bunny ears

Happy Easter!

A while back Melissa came along to one of my studio lighting classes. We played around with all types of lighting, including backlit light. Her feet were just in the right place to look like bunny ears. Of course, this is a no no in the photography world, but I thought it was amusing just the same...

040 - Sand Dollar

As you may or may not have noticed, I haven't had a post in a few days. I have agonized over this, but decided it had to be done (well technically, not done). We are moving in a few short weeks, and I had to choose between spending my evenings shooting something new and exciting to post, or pack my house. Packing up the house won. I don't want to abandon this project completely, so I will still try to post as often as possible with my previous work. Don't worry, it will be exciting just the same!
